have a look at apple.com forums.. i believe its a self diagnostic thing……… have you tried master reset in the menu… might work… you just need to download the latest update from apple… and flash upgrade it with the mains adaptor afterwards.. g'luck

Well, you should really add disclaimers so you don’t get sued!

    Otherwise, that was awesome.

Everything on the iPod will be deleted and it will be restored to the factory settings. You will have to reload but you can do that by synching it to iTunes. You can reload only what you want but you have to make those selections when you reload.

    Have fun.

TIf its a normal iPod, then you can reset it by pushing the middle button and the menu button.Or it might be the middle button and the play/pause button…anyway hold them down simentaniously for a few secs then see what happens

I'm sorry for your loss, but apple has no such thing. They did a dateline or 20/20 episode (can't remember which) explaining how apple has the capabilities to have a database for stolen ipods, but choses not to to avoid the headaches of managing and tracking down the criminals.

You guys need to realize a capacitor holds enough electricity in it to kill you. Even after being unplugged, byxxi =P Even a CRT computer moniter has enough residual power to kill you..

Kip, I’m thinking camping, i.e., campfire lighting, boiling water, small water heater, and yes, fire-ant mounds. Is there a source from which to hijack a smaller lens?
