Help answer the question about monopoly game
What are your thoughts on the new Monopoly game?
Monopoly is my favorite board-game, I just saw a commercial for a new version, Electronic banking. Are they serious? A little girl saying she likes it because its fast and easy? No need to count money anymore. They took away the only part of the game that requires thinking. I can personally say that I will refuse to play the new version as it’s just one more small step towards the dumbing down of american society.

All Monopoly computer games allow you to play against the computer.

The best part is to see all of the fake cash in the palm of your hands and feel great when your opponents only have $150 left in twenties and fives and ones…
I think that "Getting Paid" feeling might go away with the credit card idea. Plus, laughing when someone is having a hard time counting $2000 when landing on Boardwalk w/4 hotels is great!

There are 24 cards in each of the two decks. I don't remember the arrangements of each of the cards, but I would recommend a 1-2-3 balance. That is one negative to two positive to three neutral cards. So in a 24-card stack, I would advocate 4 negative cards, 8 positive cards, and 12 neutral cards.
Keep in mind that some cards are a double edged sword. A card that sends you to a particular property is bad for you if you have to pay rent when you get there, but it is good for you if the property is still up for sale, or if someone else draws the card and you own the property. It is also basically neutral if you own the property and you draw the card. Interesting, no? – LJS
