Female in Coding World
Written on March 28, 2008 – 1:24 am | by admin
I just shocked after reading an articles on Joomla Website which tells about one of female coder from Indonesia who become a participant in 2008 Google Summer of Code (SoC). This obviously makes me think twice that for so long I thought coding world is dominated by males. In this Summer of Code, Google sets up a win-win situation for students and open source projects. There, talented student developers can do what they love and write great code in exchange for a $4,500 USD! Even open source projects benefit with improvements to the code base and a $500 USD stipend per participant. What a bunch of money she has!
