What’s in a Name?

As you all already familiar, it was a great quote from William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet , Scene II! And this quote will last forever and ever as long as the word “name” exists in this world. So, what’s the relationship of Shakespeare with my blog? I think everybody knows that “name” or let’s called it domain name is one of the significant aspect of every webmaster’s consideration. Indeed, my blog’s name is quite uncommon in the eye of Shakespearean; it is actually the translation of Language Translator (Penerjemah Bahasa), as indeed I myself is a translator from English to Bahasa Indonesia and I just want to make this blog as my world. So, you can see from the title that this is “The Translator World”.
Next, I want to say something about this domain name. In my relatively new journey in the SEO and Internet realm, I just never realized that domain name could worth millions of dollar! From my research, I found out that some domains that worth more than a million such as business.com ($7.5 million), and Sex.com ($14 million). I don’t even know why such a great transaction could happen in that time when everybody even did not realize about the economic value of a domain name.
I recently browse at webmaster forums to find out the price of domain name and yes I still find some premium domain name (which is generally called LLL.com, LLLL.com CCC.com, etc) which worth of thousands dollar. For low price domain category, some domains still worth of up to $100 which is ten times of its initial registration price ($9.95 at godaddy). However, these findings also succeeded in tempting me for domain hunting. I hope to get some luck here, too.
