Network communication is the most important aspect of the network engineer and administrator. It’s a daily routine for them to deal with command line consists of black and white only display in order manage the network operation, either data communication or remote maintenance of the server/client computers.

As a network administrator, all this time I use free version of Telnet/SSH client to access my remote server at the office which is quiet easy to use and secure. However, I recently found a good paid version of Telnet/SSH client which could be used as an alternative for professional and corporate users considering its reliability and security.

The website’s overview of the product is quiet explaining and easy to understand. Something which I considered need special attention is that of the pricing. The pricing is a little bit expensive. However for corporate users, the system will gives great benefit for the entire corporate operation. And, the most beneficial feature of the system is that it provides the solution for Pocket PC and Windows CE devices users with its PocketVT package.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you may want to give AbsoluteTelnet a try as well. It has telnet/ssh/dialup in a tabbed interface with a built-in GUI sftp client (as well as xmodem) for secure file transfers. Available in many languages. A Pocket PC version is in the works as well.
